Snowfall in Progress by weird&co is my favorite Threadless print this week. It’s a silly and stylish take on the winter season, with all elements simplified to make the concept feel even more iconic. I love the way each snowflake is doodled a bit differently, feeling like the little cartoon craftsman has painstakingly painted each one. His lean and precise grip on this tools show the effort he’s gone to, while his festive yellow scarf and hat make it clear he’s staying jolly and enjoying his decorating. The yellow of his outfit is also present in the little caution sign on the floor, completing the work in progress look of this snowglobe. Timeless.
Midnight Snackers by dnice25 is very relatable, the kind of club most have belonged to at some point in their lives. There’s something sweetly mischievous about a child sneaking out of bed in the middle of the night for a forbidden nibble, and the feeling of getting away with something never really fades even when you’re a grown adult snacking at midnight. The graphic’s minimal look is charming, and does a great job of reading as both burger and night sky at the same time.
Do Nothing Club by ramarama makes laziness seem delightful with its pack of lounging sloths. These sleepy creatures indulge in some snacking (and I do spy a TV remote) but don’t feel the need to do much else. With fistfuls of pizza and plenty of room to lay about, they have everything they need for a perfectly lazy day, and most viewers will want to join them. The only element I quibble with is the coffee cups- those are such a symbol of gaining energy and waking up that they seem out of place in this slothful scene. I’d rather have seen mugs, which is less coffee-specific and might have implied a sleepy tea or indulgent hot cocoa.
