Threadless’s Bird Song

Bird Song by quick-brown-fox is my favorite Threadless print this week. The transformation of a treble clef into a bird feels natural and seamless, with a small beak poking out of the top loop while a wing flaps our from the lower spiral. These additions make the large spiral feel like the bird’s belly and the lower curve to read as the feet, even without any changes to the natural shape in those areas. To complete the concept, a small speech bubble with a music note sits near the bird’s face. It’s excellent work, and a memorable piece of minimalism that makes every included element important and adding to the overall story.
